Lived Experiences About Postpartum Care: A Discussion

In this powerful discussion, Black mothers will share their personal postpartum journeys, highlighting the emotional, mental, and physical challenges they’ve faced. Panelists will openly discuss postpartum depression, anxiety, body image struggles, and the impact of social and cultural pressures. This session provides an opportunity to listen to real experiences, fostering a greater understanding of the gaps in postpartum care for Black mothers. By sharing these lived experiences, the discussion aims to bring awareness to the need for more compassionate, inclusive care and to inspire better support systems for mothers navigating postpartum life.
